History

1820 HISTORY

We do like naming our watches with references of historical and memorable moments in horology. This one is no exception:
Thomas Prest was the first person to register a patent for the self winding watch. The year was 1820. Furthermore it so happens, that our first showroom and office was located on one of the most historical avenues in Copenhagen. The exact address was Frederiksberg Alle 8,1820 Frederiksberg.
– Therefore, 1820 Automatic

Sleek automatic

Really impressed with this beautiful time piece by About Vintage. The sweeping second hand is gorgeous, and the hands and emblems are beautiful.

Love it

Received this watch about 10 days ago (it arrived surprisingly quickly). No complaints or disappointments so far. Just as beautiful in-person as it is in the pictures. I think the design of the face is refreshingly distinct from so many of the other watches I see on the market. There’s an elegance in the clean, subtle, unassuming, minimalistic details. Also, really pleased with the dark blue strap - so often colors end up looking slightly different/cheaper in person, but this is a really fitting, well-chosen hue. Forgot I already have a 20mm brown croco-like strap on another watch, so kind of wish I’d picked black croco or dark green here as my bonus strap.

Understated Elegance

This watch has a unique design. It is stylish with an understated elegance. I looked at a lot of watches and for me this stood out even from the other attractive offerings at About Vintage. It matches very nicely with a tan , mesh and best of all IMO , a blue suede, strap . No battery required . I havent really checked its precision yet but the watch bespeaks quality.Sapphire glass is a big plus since my other watches have, over time , become scratched. Delivery time from placement of the order was about 5 days !
